narrative, record and graphic pictures



Narrative pictures tell a story; record pictures are, well, just a record; and graphic pictures are primarily a matter of line and either tone or colour, according to the medium.

Obviously there is scope for a lot of overlap -- the photograph on the right is an example -- but classifying your pictures this way can be a useful tool for helping understand why successes succeed and failures fail. A short module, with just 14 pictures, 10 colour, 4 mono.
